Les Figues Press and Betsy Lohrer Hall Free Readings and Performances at Palos Verdes Art Center
Les Figues Press authors Danielle Adair, Sissy Boyd, Amina Cain, and Allison Carter
to perform free readings January 7, 2012 2:00pm; and mixed media artist Betsy Lohrer Hall will present a reading and brief performance related to her newest artist-book project Saturday, January 21, 2012, 1:00pm. Both events will be held at the Palos Verdes Art Center / Beverly G. Alpay Center for Arts Education, Promenade on the Peninsula, 550 Deep Valley Drive, Suite 261, Rolling Hills Estates.
These free programs are being held in conjunction with the Installation Exhibition, Pitys Reconstructs The Word, the Art Center’s current exhibition, which explores the art of Installation - an exhibition exploring environmental art that takes into account the viewer’s entire sensory experience rather than having works of art hanging on a wall or sitting on a pedestal - featuring two Los Angeles Artists, Edith Abeyta and Meeson Pae Yang

es Figues Press is a nonprofit literary press dedicated to creating conversations between readers, writers and authors. Betsy Lohrer Hall received her MFA from California State University, Fullerton. She was awarded a Professional Artist Fellowship grant from the Arts Council of Long Beach, a printmaking residency at Angels Gate Cultural Center, in San Pedro, and most recently, inclusion in the Los Angeles World Airports Installations series, facilitated by LAWA and the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
The Palos Verdes Art Center and Community School of Art, celebrating 80 years in the community, is a non-profit community organization serving southwestern Los Angeles County with visual arts exhibition, education and outreach programs.
