Labor Day Trash & Street Sweeping Schedule For Palos Verdes

Wondering how the Palos Verdes waste management and street sweeping schedules will be affected by Labor Day?

PALOS VERDES, CA – Waste collection and street sweeping will be affected by Labor Day, so a modified schedule will be in place for Palos Verdes. Enjoy your three day weekend, here's when to keep the cars in the driveway and roll out the garbage cans:

  • Waste Management: Trash, Recyling, Green Wasate
    • There will be no trash, recycling and/or green waste collection on Labor Day, Monday September 4. Due to the holiday, there will be a one-day delay for all residential trash and recycling collections during that week. So if your regular schedule is Monday, roll those garbage cans to the curb on Tuesday.
    • On your collection day, place all carts at the curb by 7 a.m. to avoid a missed pick up.
    • Empty carts cannot be left at the curb overnight, and must be removed from the curb no later than 10 p.m. on collection day.
  • Street Sweeping
    • The regularly scheduled Monday street sweeping will be performed on Wednesday, September 6. This will affect San Ramon, El Prado Estates, Miraleste Hills, Mediterrania, Via Subida, and Mira Catalina neighborhoods.
    • Try to remove parked cars from the street during sweeping days, this will help reach optimum results and the removal of unwanted debris near the curb and gutters, according to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
