The Peninsula-wide Safe Routes to School Plan is nearly complete. The City is excited to announce the next step of this grant-funded project, which is public outreach and input! All Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District schools and the two Los Angeles Unified School District schools on the Peninsula are included in this Peninsula-wide project, which aims to improve pedestrian safety along school routes. The project consultant has prepared preliminary designs for school area treatments — such as pavement markings, curb ramps, high visibility crosswalks, and signage — around each school. Now we need the Peninsula community’s review and feedback. The web-based Preliminary Treatment Showcase portal allows you to review the preliminary school treatments for each school and provide your comments through an integrated online survey. Simply 1) visit bit.ly/2B8ZhsB 2) find your school community, and 3) move through the steps on the screen. It’s that easy! If you have any questions, please email PeninsulaWideSRTS@gmail.com. Thank you, RPV Public Works
