• RPV Gets $5M After Landslide Costs Reach $15M In 1 Year (patch.com) — Rancho Palos Verdes just secured $5 million in state funding to help cover the soaring costs of battling the Portuguese Bend landslide, which drained about $15 million from last year's city budget alone. City officials say landslide-related expenses could reach $75 million by mid-2027, even as dewatering wells and stabilization work slowly reduce ground movement and more large federal grants are pursued.
