Pilot Makes Emergency Landing Off The Coast
A pilot made an emergency landing Wednesday at Point Vicente Interpretive Center.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Officials Thursday are sharing more information about an emergency helicopter landing at Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Palos Verdes Wednesday afternoon.
The pilot made a precautionary landing for unknown reasons at about 2 p.m. on the grass outside Point Vicente Interpretive Center on Palos Verdes Drive West, according the Federal Aviation Administration.
"City staff has confirmed that following an inspection by a mechanic, the helicopter has now safely departed the area," city officials said in a news release.

No injuries were reported.
"City staff understands this was a private helicopter and unrelated to SCE’s helicopter inspections of power lines," city officials said.
