Security cameras captured the crime on tape.

Jose Zermeno, 42, and the other suspects allegedly took the birds from a residence in the 6700 block of Harbor Avenue on May 4, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

Surveillance video shows Zermeno climbing over a fence into the backyard, opening birdcages, removing the birds, and handing them over the fence to a second man, police said.

The second suspect was described as Hispanic, about 25-30 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, and weighing about 185-200 pounds.
