Reported Monthly Burglaries Still Higher Than Average Police Say
The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department said the high trend of residential burglaries has continued despite recent arrests.

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — Despite the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department's recent arrest of a burglary crew, the department said the higher-than-average trend of residential burglaries persists.
According to police, there has been a total of six burglaries reported this month at different homes in Palos Verdes Estates. On Jan. 2 authorities arrested two suspects in connection to a string of burglaries that targeted residents in Palos Verdes Estates and nearby cities, but the burglaries continued after the arrests were made.

The locations of the recent burglaries that happened throughout the city include:
- 2000 block of Palos Verdes Drive West on Jan. 1
- 1300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West on Jan. 2
- 900 block of Granvia Altamira on Jan. 12
- 900 block of Paseo La Cresta on Jan. 14
- 300 block of Via Almar on Jan. 17
- 900 block Via Rincon on Jan. 17
Typically, the city has about two to three burglaries each month PVEPD said.

"Detectives are actively investigating these crimes and working on catching the suspects," the department said in a statement.
PVEPD asked the community for help to catch the suspects. Police suggested leaving interior lights on when no one is home, locking doors, setting home alarms and reporting suspicious activity.
