The South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide offers comprehensive coverage of the greater South Bay area

While some school districts are still on winter break, the holiday
season is technically over and most of us are settling back into our
regular schedules. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m thrilled
to be putting in a full day at work, resuming normal eating habits, and
grunting through my daily workout. There is certainly something to be
said for routines…..but it’s always good to mix things up a bit. Lucky
for us, there are plenty of opportunities in the South Bay to shake up
your schedule. Like, when was the last time you went dancing on a
Saturday night? Hmmm?

This weekend is your last chance to ice-skate outdoors right here in the South Bay! The L.A. Kings Ice Rink
in Redondo Marina will be open through Sunday, January 8 with Session 1
from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Session 2 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Individual General Admission: $17; LA Kings Season Ticket Members (and
up to four guests): $13; Kids: (six and under): $13; Seniors with I.D.

on Friday, January 6 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at The Belamar. Make the

comedy of Beth Stelling, Brandon Wardell, Dan St. Germain and Mo Mandel.

drainage, wildlife, folklore, and more. The hike takes approximately 2

now…… The Redondo Beach Police Department, in collaboration with the
American Red Cross, will host the annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive
on Thursday, January 12 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Redondo Beach
Police Station parking lot. The drive, which occurs during National
Blood Donor Month, pits public safety and law enforcement agencies
against each other to see who can rally the most people to donate blood.
