Read on for a special discount….. The Torrance Cultural Arts Center presents Jenna Esposito starring in Italian Undercover! on Friday, November 10 at 8 p.m. at the James R. Armstrong Theatre. In her show, Jenna revisits the music of some of the most popular and influential Italian-American pop singers of the 20th century who changed their names and performed ‘undercover’! Does the name Francesco Paulo LoVecchio mean anything to you? Or how about Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco?? No? Okay, one more try – surely you have heard of Concetta Franconero? Need some help? Perhaps you would recognize them by their ‘undercover aliases’ – Frankie Laine, Lou Christie and Connie Francis?! Sure, most people are aware that Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and yes, Connie Francis are Italian, and most people are also aware that their given names have been changed considerably. But not everyone knows that the same can be said for countless others including Frankie Laine, Lou Christie, Bobby Rydell, and more…until now! This show is inspired by Mark Rotella’s book Amore: The Story of Italian American Song. Tickets are $20 – $30. (Jenna was our guest on The South Bay Show last week and she graciously offered our listeners a special discount – use code ‘ItalianUnder’ when ordering tickets either online or over the phone and receive 50% off your ticket!) For additional information and ticket purchase, visit the website at https://torrancearts.org/italian-undercover/, call (310) 781-7171 or visit the box office.
