South Bay Weekend Guide June 1, 2017
The South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide offers comprehensive coverage of the greater South Bay area.

It’s now June and the press releases for the many local summer events are pouring in. Every so often, I’ll remind you to visit the website for recent posts, because every Thursday – and it never fails – someone will read this Weekend Guide and realize their event isn’t listed. Then they shoot me an email asking if I can post the info to my site. These last minute posts don’t get the traffic they deserve because, well, they’re last minute, and while I endeavor to keep you abreast of what’s going on around town, there will always be a few events added to the website after the Weekend Guide is put to bed. So sit back and relax with your coffee while perusing this Guide, but be sure to take a quick peek at the website before finalizing your plans for the weekend!

Just in time for summer! I’ve been meaning to post a list of South Bay Craft Beer Breweries for the longest time and finally got around to it. I’ve been keeping and updating a list of local breweries for about 5 years and its amazing how many have opened in that time….with even more on the horizon. The South Bay sure loves its brews! If you haven’t visited these tap and tasting rooms yet, be sure to put it on your ‘must do’ list. They have become an integral part of the South Bay scene and offer a fun night on the town, or a low-key place to kick back, depending on the day and time. Many offer food on-site, live music, games, tap takeovers and special events. These breweries are also a hit with out-of-towners…. I always plan a beer night for visiting family and friends. You can view the list at http://www.southbaybyjackie.com/south-bay-craft-beer-breweries/. The brewery scene is constantly changing and growing, so if you know something I don’t, please drop me a line!
