Carl's Jr. Franchisee, a Pasadena Resident, to be Honored

 

Latina business leader Leticia Ibarra will be among special guests Wednesday in Los Angeles, at the sixth annual Honoring Women of City Club Luncheon

Pasadena resident Leticia “Letty” Ibarra spends her life excelling – in business as a Carl’s Jr. franchisee as well as at home and in her community.

For all of her efforts, Ibarra will be rewarded on Wednesday at the sixth annual Honoring Women of City Club Luncheon. She will be among five prominent women whose good work is being recognized by City Connections, in celebration of Women’s History Month.

In business, Ibarra is a Carl’s Jr. franchise owner-operator with three units and 60-plus employees in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

An East Los Angeles native and the daughter of first-generation Mexican immigrants, Ibarra also is deeply committed to giving back, particularly in L.A., where she is active in many philanthropic causes. In L.A., Ibarra owns and operates Los Niños Foundation, along with her husband of 32 years, Dr. Arturo Ibarra. The nonprofit foundation raises funds for the construction and management of teen rehab centers in Mexico, Serbia and Montenegro.

She also sits on the boards of the Catholic Association of Latino Leaders’ L.A. chapter and the Order of St. John of Denmark, and she is a sustainer of the Junior League of Pasadena, Calif.

A resident of Pasadena, Ibarra additionally runs her husband’s two dental practices as well as a home-based business, renting their home as a location for the entertainment industry. The Ibarra House has been the setting for many movies, commercials and magazine photo shoots.

The Ibarras have three children, Diana, Jacky and Alex.

In addition to Ibarra, women of note being honored on Wednesday are the Hon. Hilda L. Solis, former U.S. secretary of labor (receiving special recognition); Dr. Janalyn Glymph; Hon. Carolyn Kuhl; and Melinda Murray.
