31-2/1 BUSTAMANTE’S PASADENA INTERNATIONAL ANTIQUARIAN BOOK, PRINT, PHOTO AND PAPER FAIR

More than 100 quality exhibitors will participate in Bustamante’s Pasadena Antiquarian Book, Print, Photo and Paper Fair. Exhibitors will display and offer for sale a wide variety of antiquarian, rare and modern first edition books, prints, posters, vintage photographs, autographs, fine graphics, maps, manuscripts and many unique pieces of ephemera.

3 CAMERATA PACIFICA

Camerata Pacifica is a chamber music ensemble comprised of the finest performers of chamber music from around the world. The ensemble is distinctive for artistic excellence, an innovative approach to classical music and a repertoire that ranges from baroque to brand new compositions, from familiar masterworks to those that have yet to become favorites. This performance features Britten’s “Six Metamorphoses After Ovid, Op. 49;” Hindemith’s “Viola Sonata in F Major, Op. 11, No. 4;” Loeffler’s “Two Rhapsodies for Viola, Oboe, and Piano;” and Schumann’s “Piano Quartet in E-Fiat Major, Op. 47.”

6 THE 46TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS

The NAACP Image Awards is the nation’s premier multi-cultural awards show. The event celebrates the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts (television, recording, literature, motion picture and writing & directing), as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors.

7-8 LOS ANGELES POTTERY SHOW

The largest art pottery and tile show In America, the 18th annual show will delight collectors of art pottery and tile. More than 90 exhibitors from throughout the country will present ceramics from yesterday, today and for tomorrow for sale. This annual event also features appraisals by David Rago of Rago Arts, the foremost authority who frequently appears on the PBS aeries “Antiques Roadshow.”

8 EXHIBITION HALL RIBBON CUTTING AND MUSE/IQUE PERFORMANCE

The historic Pasadena Civic Auditorium Exhibition Hall– will reopen after last serving as an exhibition hall and ballroom in 1976. The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the first event at the restored 17,000-square-foot hall in nearly 40 years. Dedicated in 1932 as part of the original Pasadena Civic Auditorium, the exhibit hall was used for conventions, dances and various exhibits. It was repurposed as home to the Pasadena Ice Skating Center in 1976. The hall held the ice rink until 2011, when the Pasadena Ice Skating Center moved to a new, stand-alone facility to the east of the Civic Auditorium. MUSE/IQUE, a musical “travelling party of smart fun,” kicks off its 2015 Uncorked Series with “Liberty/Conceived,” an unconventional orchestral tribute to Abraham Lincoln after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

8 PASADENA COMIC AND TOY SHOW

The Pasadena Comic and Toys show is a one-day comic book and toy culture event featuring many comic book and toy vendors along with artists, creators and some celebrity guests. There also will be more than 75 tables of vendors.

9 JANE PAULEY, PRESENTED BY THE DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES

In 2014, every baby boomer will have reached the milestone age of 50. For most, it’s not an end but the beginning of something new. Jane Pauley, one of America’s most beloved and trusted broadcast journalists for more than 30 years, has been called “America’s baby boomer.” In her presentation, she will offer humor and insight about the journey forward. Her network television career began as co-host of NBC’s “Today Show,” she was founding co-anchor of “Dateline NBC,” and host of “The Jane Pauley Show.” Pauley is currently contributing to NBC’s “Today Show” in a monthly series. Her new best-selling book, “Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life,” features boomers now entering midlife with a different perspective of the future than any generation and the ways they are reinvention their lives.

27-3/1 CHRIS WALLER’S HEART OF A CHAMPION INVITATIONAL, PRESENTED BY GYMJAM FOUNDATION

This gymnastics meet will feature individuals and teams competing for trophies, event medals and cash prizes. The USAG Sanctioned Gymnastics Invitational is a premier competition and benefits Camp del Corazon for children with heart disease. The Wallers’ GymJam Academy is home to Olympians, World Champions, National Team members and world-renowned coaches. Chris Waller’s Heart of Champion Invitational serves as an important competition for gymnasts striving to qualify for the U.S. Regional and National Gymnastics Championships. GymJam Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Wallers’ GymJam Academy. A portion of every gymnast’s entry fee and proceeds from on-site fundraisers will be donated to Camp Del Corazon.
