A Pasadena man was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison for opening fire at a Pasadena restaurant, injuring one man.

PASADENA, CA — A gang member convicted of shooting a gang rival outside a Pasadena fast-food restaurant was sentenced Wednesday to 60 years to life in state prison.

Robert Julio Arnaud, 28, of Los Angeles was found guilty May 12 of attempted murder for the Dec. 29, 2015 attack in the 800 block of North Lake Avenue, between Orange Grove Boulevard and Mountain Street.

Jurors also found true gang and gun allegations.

Arnaud confronted two men in the restaurant's parking lot and opened fire soon afterward, striking one man in one of his legs, according to Deputy District Attorney Stefan Mrakich. The other man escaped unharmed.

Arnaud claimed he wasn't in Pasadena then, but cell phone tower records showed his phone was within two miles of the shooting scene that night, Mrakich said.
