But deal allows parts of rapid-bus project to move forward (dailynews.com) — Pasadena streets like Colorado Boulevard, Lake Avenue, Arroyo Parkway and Hill Street are already under construction for LA Metro's North Hollywood-to-Pasadena rapid bus line, even as a legal fight stalls one segment in Burbank. Work in Pasadena, Glendale, Eagle Rock and North Hollywood is moving ahead, promising faster east‑west transit to jobs, schools and services once the project opens.
   

2. Youth Theatre Conservatory Fall 2026 for Teens at Boston Court Pasadena (pbssocal.org) — Pasadena teens can now sign up for a free fall Youth Theatre Conservatory at Boston Court Pasadena, running September 8 through December 8. Open to all high schoolers with no experience required, the twice-weekly program offers expert training in acting, writing, directing, and design, plus transportation support and easy Metro access for local students.
   

3. Photos: First round of 2027 Rose Court interviews at Pasadena's Tournament House brings hope, smiles and poise (pasadenastarnews.com) — Rose Court hopefuls from Pasadena-area schools kicked off the 2027 Rose Parade selection process Saturday at the Tournament House, beginning a month of interviews that will end with seven ambassadors. Applicants must live or study in the Pasadena City College district or nearby ZIP codes, and each eventual court member will earn a scholarship and represent the community at events through New Year's Day 2027.
   

4. AVC to lead Southern California NASA aerospace workforce hub (avpress.com) — Pasadena residents may see new aerospace training opportunities as Pasadena City College joins Antelope Valley College and MiraCosta College in a three-year NASA-backed workforce hub. The consortium will expand industry-aligned classes, internships, and career pathways to prepare Southern California students for high-demand technical jobs supporting NASA and the wider aerospace sector.
