New PCC Metro station links SGV to SFV (pcccourier.com) — Pasadena City College students and staff will soon get a direct Metro bus rapid transit connection linking Pasadena with North Hollywood and the wider San Fernando Valley, with a new zero-emission bus station being built right on campus. Construction has already narrowed Hill Avenue and Green Street to two lanes on weekdays, and the station is expected to be finished before the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

3. Most gatherings are free but require advance RSVPs, with Innovate Pasadena leading many of the programs and spots expected to fill quickly.

Black Education Expo Returns October 3, Centering Education, Wellness & Joy (2urbangirls.com) — Pasadena families can head to the Convention Center on Saturday, October 3, for the free Black Education Expo, offering more than 70 education, wellness, and college-career resources. With teen and parent zones, wellness screenings, free books, and a complimentary bus from South LA, organizers aim to make high-quality support and information easily accessible to local students and educators.
   

5. Palms single-family properties to give way to multifamily building (therealdeal.com) — Pasadena residents are part of a broader Los Angeles housing shift, as developers replace single-family homes with taller multifamily buildings in neighborhoods like Palms, Mid-City, and other areas including Pasadena. The projects leverage density bonuses and affordability requirements as the city races to meet aggressive state housing targets by 2029.
