Soccer Players Barely Escape Falling Tree In Pasadena
A group of soccer players barely escaped a massive tree limb seconds before it fell and crushed the bleachers where they had been sitting.
PASADENA, CA — A group of college soccer players are lucky to be alive today after a close call with a falling tree limb in Pasadena.
A massive pine tree limb crushed a bleacher at Villa Park where a group of athletes were sitting in the shade. According to the Pasadena Fire Department, the soccer players were sitting on the benches when they heard the tree branch begin to crack, and they dove out of harms way. The massive limb came falling down, and crushed the metal bleachers.
“Very lucky day for these soccer players,” Lisa Derderian, spokeswoman with the Pasadena Fire Department told the Los Angeles Times. “It could’ve been a lot worse.”

The incident occurred at a about 3 p.m. in the 300 block of Villa Street in Pasadena Tuesday. No one has been injured, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.
