• Sonoma County final election results show higher than expected turnout, solidify November runoffs for supervisor (pressdemocrat.com) — Penngrove voters helped shape a closely watched Sonoma County supervisor primary, where a Penngrove rancher finished fourth and the 2nd District race advanced two women of color to November’s runoff. Turnout topped 54%, but nearly 1,600 ballots were rejected for late postmarks or signature issues, prompting officials to urge earlier voting and greater use of official drop boxes.
