• HVAC Unit Malfunction Causes Fire Scare at Perris Post Office (mynewsla.com) — Smoke reported at the Redlands Avenue post office in Perris on Wednesday afternoon led to an evacuation and fire department response, but firefighters confirmed there was no fire. The smoke came from a malfunctioning HVAC circuit, and no injuries were reported. One engine stayed on scene to ensure safety while technicians were called for repairs. 
• Man Suspected of Driving Motorcycle Into Crowd Near Riverside Arrested (mynewsla.com) — Deputies from the Perris Sheriff's Station responded Wednesday to an altercation near Riverside where a motorcyclist allegedly drove into a crowd, ultimately injuring three people. All victims and the suspect were hospitalized in stable condition, and the rider was later jailed on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Residents with information are urged to contact sheriff's dispatch or the Perris station.
