6th Annual Petaluma Holiday Food Fair To Feature 30+ Local Artisans
The event is scheduled for the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. It is free to attend but tickets are required.
PETALUMA, CA — The 6th Annual Petaluma Holiday Food Fair will be held from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the Hotel Petaluma Ballroom, 205 Kentucky St. in Petaluma.
The event is an indoor farmer’s market where guests can purchase directly from local food artisans to prepare for Thanksgiving and beyond. It is free to attend, but tickets and time reservations are required.
According to the event website, after the 2017 wildfires devastated Sonoma County, Lorraine and Michael Barber of the Barber Cellars winery noticed many of the local artisans they supported in their tasting room were suffering from a lack of business. At the height of harvest season, farmer's markets were closed and sales were slim. The Barbers organized this event to get a much-needed financial boost to local food producers. The event has become a vital start to the holiday season and remains an important boost to local food vendors because of these strange and tough times.
