Commuters: Hwy 1 Closed In Both Directions In Marin Co.

State Highway 1 in unincorporated Marin County has been closed in both directions this morning because of downed trees blocking the roadway.

At 4:02 a.m., the California Highway Patrol first received a report of a downed tree blocking the entire roadway just north of Erica Road, near Mill Valley, according to CHP officials.

At 4:48 a.m., CHP officials issued the Sig-alert closing the highway in both directions.

The highway is estimated to reopen around 8 a.m., according to CHP officials. They’re advising drivers to use alternate routes.
