Do You Have Background To Be Santa Rosa Junior College Instructor? Recruitment Open House Planned

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – Announcement from Santa Rosa Junior College now seeking local residents from various backgrounds who possibly qualify as part-time faculty in variety of fields:

SRJC is looking for adjunct (part-time) faculty in many fields including math, chemistry and English to meet student demands, so the college is hosting its first-ever open house to recruit new adjunct faculty.

The event takes place on Nov. 1, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Lawrence A. Bertolini Student Center at SRJC’s Santa Rosa campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear remarks by, and meet, SRJC’s Superintendent/President Dr. Frank Chong, hear a panel discussion followed by a question and answer session, and enjoy a reception with refreshments.

The free event will provide guests the opportunity to explore teaching possibilities at SRJC, meet faculty and administrators, and become familiar with the hiring process. Industry leaders, working professionals, recent college graduates, high school and college instructors, professors, and tutors are all encouraged to join.

The open house provides an opportunity for SRJC to continue to help support the College’s Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee (EEOAC) goals of broadening outreach and diversifying faculty and staff. The college recently was awarded $60,000 for meeting EEOAC requirements by the California Community College's Chancellor's Office.
