Learn the processes of chasing, repoussé, and annealing metal. Chasing involves chiseling the design onto the front of the metal using chasing tools. Repoussé means to push from the back with a hammer and hardwood blocks or dowels, giving the metal a raised dimension. Annealing involves heating the metal to a cherry red, cooling it and then quenching in cold water.
