Facing East Trio is world class world music drawing deeply from classical music from India integrated with jazz and other world music traditions. Featured in this performance are John Wubbenhorst-bansuri (bamboo flute) and keyboards, Steve Zerlin-bass and Ian Dogole-percussion. The event will begin at noon with a home cooked gourmet buffet lunch provided by Namaste Kitchen which features favorites from India, Nepal and Tibet. At 1:30 pm , the music will start featuring compositions by John Wubbenhorst which reflect his 40 year background in Indian music with greats such as Hariprasad Chaurasia and also western great such as Victor Wooten, Jack DeJohnette, Paul horn and others. Steve Zerlin is a top bassist playing throughout the world as well as being an instructor in India. Ian Dogole is one of the finest multi percussionists of this time with extensvie experience leading his own group "Hemispheres" and plays many percussion instruments such as udu,cajon, hang, talking drums, kalimbas,dumbek etc...
