Hobby Expo

Do you enjoy building model cars or trains? If so, you need to get yourself to the Hobby Expo at the Lucchesi Center today. Bring a neat model you enjoyed building or a work in progress. There will be plenty of room for you to show off your creations and there is no fee for display models.

You can also enter a plastic scale model contest, which starts at 12:30pm. Contest Entry Fees: Adult, (17 and over) $5 for the first entry + $1 for each additional model. Junior (13 to 16) $2 for the first entry + $1 for each additional model.

Other activities include Model Make-N-Take, Lego Make-N-Take and Slot Car Racing. Participating clubs include the North Coast Narrow Gauge Model Railroad, Coastal Valley Lines Modular Railroad, Redwood Empire Model Shipwrights (wooden ship models), Wine Country Flyers (radio control airplane club) and the Northbay Gaming Group (WWII Flames of War game), Bay Area Tankers (radio control tanks), Western Warships Club (radio control fighting ships), SRJC Robotics Club, among others.
