Intro to Botanical Art with Amber Turner
Have you ever admired botanical art and wanted to try it? In this class we will learn both traditional and contemporary botanical art skills such as plant observation, drawing, and watercolor painting using a variety of natural subjects. We will concentrate on fall-color, as this is nature’s most vivid time of year.
Instructor Amber Turner’s inspiration is always drawn from nature. “Nature is my teacher, inspiration and subject. The deep saturated colors of my work encourage the observer to stop and look intensely into the natural world. My goal is to profoundly notice the rich colors and textures of the plant highlighting its unique character. This intimate process reconnects us to the natural world.”
