The St. Vincent de Paul High School Mustang Varsity Baseball team won in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday vs. Bay HS 3-2.
Senior Joe Purtell drove in Patrick Garcia for the winning run to provide an exciting finish to the game.
Other hits for the Mustangs included:
- Garcia 3x4 (3B, RBI),
- Purtell 3x4 (RBI),
- Liam Galten 2x2,
- George Sammon 1x4 (2B),
- and Nick Vollert 1x3.
The Mustangs are currently 5-4 overall and 1-0 in league play.
Next game will be Friday at Calistoga.
