Highway 116 Shut Down Near Petaluma Due To Downed Power Lines

All lanes have reopened after downed power lines shut down traffic on State Route 116 east of Petaluma Wednesday afternoon.

PETALUMA, CA — Traffic has reopened on State Route 116 after downed power lines shut down all lanes for nearly an hour east of Petaluma Wednesday afternoon, according to a 511.org. All lanes had reopened by 12:06 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol logs.

Eastbound and westbound traffic was shut down at Adobe Road, according to the alert. Drivers were advised to expect delays and use alternate routes.

The downed line was first reported at 11:15 a.m. and fire crews were on the scene within minutes, according to CHP logs.
