Kite Day, Urban Farm, Free Boats and More This Weekend
Check out some of the awesome events happening around Petaluma Friday through Sunday
On Saturday, get back to the land by volunteering at the Petaluma Bounty Community Farm. The urban farm on Shasta Avenue needs volunteers to sow seeds, weed the orchard, along with the strawberries and garlic and to make compost. There’s a job for everyone. 55 Shasta Ave.
Saturday evening, travel back to the ‘90s at a Bone Thugs-n-Harmony concert at The Phoenix. 8pm. Tickets $35-100.

If you need a little intellectual stimulation, check out novelist Manil Suri at Copperfield’s on Saturday starting 7pm. Suri will discuss his novel, “The City of Devi,” a wickedly comedic and fearlessly provocative portrayal of individuals balancing on the sharp edge of fate. Free. 140 Kentucky St.
On Sunday, disconnect from your iPad and iPhone and go enjoy the outdoors. Borrow a boat, kayak, canoe or row boat at the Petaluma River Heritage Center at Steamer Landing Park and explore the river. Free. 10am-2pm.
