Know Me? Petaluma Cops Say I Swiped A Bike

Police are asking for the public's assistance identifying the suspect.

A man walked into Lucky supermarket on Lakeville Street at around 7 p.m. Monday and immediately went to a bicycle placed just inside the entrance, took the bike and left the store, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Officers did recover the bike, reportedly valued at $2,000, but the suspect was not located, police said.

Police did not say where the bike was found.

The department released a surveillance photo of the suspect asking for the public’s assistance in identification.

The man is described as white and in his 20s or 30s, police said.
