Male Transient Found Dead Tuesday Night in Petaluma

The location was Cavanagh Landing-Weller Street, police said.

The body of an adult male transient was found lying in Cavanagh Landing on Weller Street Tuesday at 8:05 p.m., according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Preliminary identification has been made, but will not be released pending an autopsy and notification of the next of kin, police said.

Petaluma detectives and a detective from the Sonoma County Coroner Unit responded to the scene. No obvious signs of trauma were located on the male, and there are no signs of foul play, police said.
