New Hours For Petaluma DMV
California Department of Motor Vehicles announced extended hours for its Petaluma location.

PETALUMA, CA – The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced hours will soon be extended at 53 field offices across the state, including in Petaluma. Beginning Monday, July 1, the Petaluma DMV will open one hour earlier.
Under the new hours, Petaluma and 52 other local DMV offices will open at 7 a.m. every weekday — except Wednesdays — to help ease customer wait times, DMV officials said in a news release.
The Petaluma DMV will continue to open at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and close at 5 p.m. daily.

Since last summer, 16 DMV offices across the state have been serving thousands of customers during the extra morning hour, DMV officials said, bringing the new number to 63 offices with extended hours.
The DMV also offers Saturday service from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 62 field offices throughout the state, including in Santa Rosa and Novato. Customers without an appointment are finding their visit time significantly reduced if they arrive after 2 p.m., according to the DMV.
