Parolee With Loaded Gun Arrested In Petaluma: Police

The 42-year-old Santa Rosa man had two warrants out for his arrest, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — A Santa Rosa parolee with warrants out for his arrest was taken into custody Wednesday outside a convenience store in a Petaluma, according to police.

Officers first noticed Miguel Fielding, 42, around 11 p.m. Wednesday inside a suspicious car parked outside the 7-Eleven on Lakeville Highway near the Petaluma Marina, police said.

As they spoke with Fielding and ran a records search, they learned he had two outstanding warrants — one for domestic violence and the other for violation of parole.

After placing Fielding under arrest for the warrant, officers searched the car and found a loaded gun, police said.

Fielding was booked into Sonoma County jail for the warrants and for being a parolee in possession of a loaded firearm, police said.

As of Thursday, Fielding was being held without bail at Sonoma County jail.
