Person Rescued From Mobile Home Fire In Petaluma
The resident was treated at Petaluma Valley Hospital for injuries suffered in the blaze, according to the Petaluma Fire Department.

PETALUMA, CA — One person was hospitalized when a mobile home caught fire Tuesday afternoon in north Petaluma.
Firefighters with the Petaluma Fire Department and Rancho Adobe Fire District were dispatched at 4:06 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a structure fire just west of U.S. Highway 101 at Leisure Lake Mobile Home Park, 300 Stony Point Road, according to a news release from the Petaluma Fire Department.
Two Petaluma fire engines and ambulances and two Rancho Adobe fire engines were on the scene within 5 minutes. An engine crew from Rancho Adobe Fire arrived first and found light-to-moderate smoke coming from the mobile home, Petaluma FD Battalion Chief Chad Costa said.

Personnel with the Petaluma Police Department were also there and were in communication with someone inside the residence but were not able to enter because of the smoke and heat, Costa said.
"Rancho Adobe firefighters made entry and were able to remove the person inside, who sustained minor injuries and was transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital for further evaluation," Costa said.

No firefighters suffered injuries during the rescue or as they worked to contain the blaze.
The estimated loss was around $75,000, with damages limited to the interior of the mobile home and its contents, Costa said.
The cause of the blaze was not immediately determined and remained under investigation Tuesday evening.
"The Petaluma Fire Department would like to remind our citizens to ensure that Christmas lights, heaters, dryers, ovens, candles, and any unused smoking materials are off, closed, or put out prior to going to sleep or leaving the house," Costa said in the news release. "The Petaluma Fire Department wishes to thank Rancho Adobe Fire District for their assistance at the incident and for providing station coverage to ensure the city was protected."
