Petaluma Man Accused Of Molesting Friends' Young Daughter
The girl was 5 years old when the abuse began, police said. Detectives believe there may be more victims.

PETALUMA, CA — Police believe there may be additional victims of a Petaluma man who was recently arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a girl for several years.
Erick Francisco Pimentel-Alvarado, 32 , was arrested Oct. 27 in the 800 block of Lakeville Circle in connection with the "longstanding sexual abuse of a female child over a period lasting several years, beginning when the child was approximately 5 years old," Petaluma police said in a news release.
According to police, Pimentel-Alvarado was a friend of the child’s parents.

As of Friday, Pimentel-Alvarado remained in custody at Sonoma County jail in lieu of $5 million bail. He is accused of six counts of sex with a minor and one count of continuous sexual abuse of minor, among other arrest charges.
"... Detectives have been continuing their investigation since then and have reason to believe there may be additional victims," police said late Thursday. "Anyone with further information concerning this or any other related incidents is asked to contact Petaluma Police Department Detective Corie Joerger at 707-778-4456."
