Petaluma Man Crashes Car Into House, Arrested For DUI

David Kaminski was arrested after driving a car into a Schuman Lane home Saturday morning.

PETALUMA, CA — A 25-year-old Petaluma man was arrested Saturday for driving under the influence after crashing his car into a house.

The driver was not injured, nor were anyone at the residence.

A Petaluma Police Department spokesperson said the incident happened at about 9:05 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Schuman Lane. Officers arrived to locate a blue Honda Civic that had crashed into the side of the home. The collision caused significant damage to the residence.

Police said it has been determined that the driver, David Kaminski, accelerated from a parked position on Schuman Lane, then crossed the roadway and collided with the curb and traveled over two retaining walls before coming to a stop in the downstairs wall of the home. Kaminski was the sole occupant of the car. He showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.
