Petaluma PD: DUI Driver Crashes Into Street Sign On Glenwood Drive
The 50-year-old allegedly tried fleeing scene, but was arrested pulling up to her home, thanks to witnesses who got her license plate number

A Petaluma woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of driving under the influence after police said she crashed into a street sign and then tried to flee.
Police arrested Toril Kizirian, 50, at 3:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of Glenwood Drive as she was pulling up to her residence.

Police responded to a report of a possible DUI driver after witnesses called 911 to report seeing a Chevrolet Tahoe strike a street sign, drive over a sidewalk, drive through grass landscaping and into a gas station parking lot.

Police said the vehicle fled the crash scene, but witnesses were able to provide officers with the license plate number of the vehicle.
Police said Kizirian initially told officers her dog had caused her to lose control of her vehicle, but she later admitted she was intoxicated and had two prior DUIs.

Police said her blood-alcohol content was .25 percent. Kizirian was booked into Sonoma County Jail, her bail was set at $50,000 and her vehicle was impounded for 15 days.
