Petaluma Police Arrest Man And Woman Suspected Of Car Theft

PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police arrested a 37-year-old Santa Rosa man Thursday morning on suspicion of stealing a car.

While on patrol about noon in the 1300 block of McDowell Boulevard, an officer observed a vehicle in a hotel parking lot that had been reported stolen in San Pablo.

Police arrested the driver, Victor Mendoza, and his passenger, 24-year-old Maribel Flores, also of Santa Rosa, who had an outstanding warrant from a previous arrest involving car theft.

Police released the vehicle to its owner and booked Mendoza and Flores into Sonoma County Jail.
