SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- Officers arrested a Rohnert Park man last week on suspicion of possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle at a parking garage on Keller Street in Petaluma, police said. Petaluma officers did an extra patrol of the parking garage around 10:12 p.m. Tuesday in response to complaints about alleged vandalism and drug use in the garage, police said.
During the patrol, the officers found a vehicle on the top floor with two people inside. The passenger was on active probation with full search and seizure terms, police said.
When the officers did a probation search of the passenger and the vehicle, the driver told them there was a firearm in the vehicle, according to police. Officers allegedly found an unloaded .38 Special revolver.
