Petaluma Police To Resume Traffic, Parking Enforcement

Amid the pandemic, wildfires and evacuations, Petaluma PD has been focusing on education rather than enforcement.

PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Police Department said Thursday it will resume enforcement of parking, traffic and abandoned vehicle violations.

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires and evacuations, the Petaluma Police Department focused on traffic education over enforcement," Petaluma PD said. "This is a friendly reminder that the Petaluma Police Department will resume enforcing parking, traffic, and abandoned vehicle violations."

Anyone with questions or concerns about enforcement issues may contact the Sgt. Nick McGowan of the Petaluma Police Department Traffic Division at 707-778-4596 or nmcgowan@cityofpetaluma.org.
