Petaluma Teen Arrested On Suspicion Of Narcotics Posession, DUI

A 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of evading officers while driving under the influence in possession of narcotics, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — A 19-year-old Petaluma man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence, evading police and possession of narcotics with intent to sell, officials said.

Around 12:12 a.m., police attempted to stop a vehicle for running a red light, but the driver accelerated at "a high rate of speed," according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Police were able to conduct a stop after driver turned down a street.

Officers contacted the driver, identified as Petaluma resident Luis Tony Morales, and determined that he was. driving under the influence of alcohol while under the age of 21 and was also in possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, police said.

Morales was booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
