Police Investigate Report Of Assault At Petaluma Protest
Petaluma police are looking into a report that someone was physically assaulted at a protest outside St. Vincent de Paul Church.

PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Police Department is investigating reports that a physical assault took place during a protest Sunday outside a local church.
Both protesters and counter-protesters rallied Sunday afternoon outside Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., to voice their opinions about the recent layoffs of two Black women from the high school affiliated with the church.
The Petaluma Police Department said it was made aware of a potential assault that may have taken place at the protest, but as of Monday morning had yet to be contacted by any victims.

"The Petaluma Police Department ... respectfully requests your assistance with identifying any of the potential involved people,"police said.
Anyone who was a victim of a physical assault during the protest, or anyone who has information that may help police in their investigation, is asked to please call the Petaluma Police Department at 707- 778-4372.
