Redwood Empire Gymnastics to host Level 3 State Meet this weekend

430 kids from the North Bay are gearing up to compete in the Northern Border Level 3 State Meet this weekend.

The first competitive qualifying meet of the year for kids ages 6-13 will be hosted by Redwood Empire Gymnastics at the Callinan Sports and Fitness Center in Rohnert Park Saturday and Sunday November 22nd and 23rd. The Level 3 State Meet is open to the public and is divided into four sessions that run from 8 am through 8 pm. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children and seniors per session or $25 for an all day pass with proceeds to benefit Redwood Empire Gymnastics in Petaluma. Refreshments and arts and crafts from local artists will be available.

Cassandra Chattan, a parent of a boy in competitive gymnastics, is an artist who will have her new line of handmade jewelry, key rings and bag dangles for sale at the event. She started creating gymnastic-themed crafts “because I saw the void in merchandise aimed at male gymnasts. I am very excited to have these items available for both male and female gymnasts”. Her gymnastic themed Christmas tree ornaments were custom made of recycled steel for the North Bay Gymnastics Boosters and each are unique because of the painting process used. These beautiful ornaments will be available at the Level 3 State meet this weekend for $10 each or 2 for $18 and all proceeds go to the North Bay Gymnastics Boosters.
