PETALUMA, CA — An at-risk elderly man reported missing from Petaluma was safely located, the Petaluma Police Department said in an update Tuesday evening.
Tuesday morning, police asked for help in finding Tung Le, 76, who was considered at risk because he suffers from cognitive disabilities and other medical conditions that possibly require medication.
Officers responded to a missing person report at 9:46 p.m. Monday on Fieldstone Lane — near Ely Road North and Corona Road — where they were told Le had not been seen since 8 p.m. Sunday.

He normally leaves his home in the morning, takes a bus ride to various parts of Petaluma, and returns home in the evening, police said.
It is suspected that he may have left his residence at 7 a.m. Monday, prior to his family realizing he left, police said.
"He has never been reported as missing or failed to return home," Petaluma police Sgt. Ryan Suhrke said. "Le does not have his cell phone with him and his whereabouts are unknown."
Le is originally from the Los Angeles area, and moved to Petaluma about 7 months ago.
"An extensive search of several areas was conducted by the Petaluma Police Department, but no investigative leads were found," Suhrke said in a news release Tuesday morning.
"If you believe you have information that could assist in locating Le, please contact the Petaluma Police Department at 707-778-4372."
