Suspected Drunk Driver Hits Dump Truck
The 65-year-old motorist was arrested after a hospital stop in Santa Rosa.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A suspected DUI driver was injured Wednesday afternoon after his vehicle collided with a dump truck in Santa Rosa, according to police.
Police said officers responded to the area of Fulton Road and West College Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on reports of a traffic collision.
Upon arrival, witnesses told officers the driver of a Volvo was driving "aggressively" and "erratically" before rear-ending a dump truck that was stopped in a turn lane.

According to police, due to the impact of the collision the driver of the Volvo, 65-year-old Michael Minzter, suffered major injuries and had to be extricated from the drivers seat.
The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries and was able to walk away from the incident.

Minzter was taken to a hospital to be treated where he was later arrested after and investigation by officers determined he was allegedly driving under the influence of narcotics.
