Trio Killed In Morning Crash Near Samuel P. Taylor State Park Identified

BREAKING: Two of the three North Bay victims -- ages 18, 18, 20 -- were brothers.

NORTH BAY, CA – The Marin County coroner's office has identified three men who were killed in a vehicle crash early this morning in Marin County southeast of Point Reyes Station.

Lancelot Mattaeus Argall, 18, of San Anselmo, his brother Chancellor Grier Argall, 20, of Woodacre, and Chance Pierre Maurer, 18, of Novato, died in the crash that occurred around midnight on Sir Francis Drake
Boulevard west of Samuel P. Taylor State Park, Chief Deputy Coroner Darrell Harris said.

Maurer was the driver of the westbound 2013 Toyota Corolla that struck a power pole and tree off of the south side of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Harris said.

All three men were wearing seatbelts and were found inside the vehicle, and extrication took an extended amount of time, Harris said.

They were identified by fingerprint comparison to California Department of Motor Vehicles records, he said.

California Highway Patrol officials said the Toyota was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed.
