UPDATE: No Bombs Found At Evacuated Sonoma County Schools
Three schools were cleared and 1,000 students sent home today after calls for possible bombs on the campuses.

No bombs were found at Cardinal Newman High School and two other schools north of Santa Rosa following a threat made this morning and Old Redwood Highway has reopened to traffic, a Sonoma County sheriff’s sergeant said this afternoon.
Two bomb detection dogs from the San Francisco Police Department searched all three schools for about two hours before clearing the area around 4:35 p.m., Sgt. Cecile Focha said.

More than 1,000 students were evacuated around 10:45 a.m. from the high school at 50 Ursuline Road, St. Rose K-8 Catholic School at 4300 Old Redwood Highway and Roseland Collegiate Prep school at 80 Ursuline Road.
A person called the high school around 10:30 a.m. and again 10 minutes later about a bomb sat the high school, principal Graham Rutherford said.

The high school notified parents by email, and most students were picked up by 1:20 p.m. The high school and Roseland Collegiate Prep school were closed for the day.
