Viva Cocolat in Petaluma Closes Shop
The Petaluma Boulevard North business was voted "Best Chocolate Shop in Sonoma County" six years in a row.
After six years in business on Petaluma Boulevard North, Viva Cocolat has closed its doors.
Owner Lynn Wong reports she is shuttering the business, voted “Best Chocolate Shop in Sonoma County” six years in a row, to spend more time with family.
Wong said the decision was not economy- or rent-driven, but simply a personal decision.
"Owning a small business is A LOT of work and hours that took away from family time," she said, adding that she looks forward to spending more time with her family and husband, Dr. Gordon Wong, an optometrist on East Washington Street.
"I am thankful for all the support from the community of my chocolate adventure and hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did," Wong said. "I have a plethora of fond memories, and know that I’ve made a chocolate difference in many people’s lives and palates."
