Wanted Petaluma Man Exits Kentucky Street Bar, Tries Ditching Officers

The suspect, wanted on a no-bail felony warrant, was arrested shortly after midnight as he ran across the Balshaw Bridge.

A Petaluma man, 28, was arrested early today after leading police on a foot chase.

The Petaluma Police Department received an anonymous tip that James Gunter, a man with an outstanding felony arrest warrant from Sonoma County, was inside Jamison’s Roaring Donkey bar on Kentucky Street.

Police said a records check confirmed Gunter had an outstanding no-bail warrant for criminal threats, and shortly after midnight three officers went to the Washington and Kentucky streets area to contact him.
