Woman Accused Of Biting Elderly Victim In Fanny Pack Robbery: PD
The suspect was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of robbery and elderly abuse, Petaluma police said.

PETALUMA, CA — A Petaluma woman is accused of robbery and elderly abuse in an incident Wednesday morning during which she is said to have bit an elderly relative, according to police.
Around 10:15 a.m., officers were sent to a report of an assault on Averye Drive, Acting Petaluma police Sgt. Ryan McGreevy said.
A 65-year-old woman told officers she was robbed by a family member.

According to police, the suspect, 30-year-old Kelsey Wambold, of Petaluma, "forcefully removed the victim’s fanny pack while attached to the victim’s waist."
"As the victim attempted to retrieve her property Wambold bit her multiple times, resulting in visible injuries," McGreevy said.

Wambold took off before officers got to the scene but later when she came back, she was taken into custody.
Wambold was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of robbery and elder abuse, McGreevy said.
Jail records showed she was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail Wednesday evening.
