Woman Wanted For Assault With Deadly Weapon Turns Self In: Police

The Santa Rosa woman was wanted in connection with an incident in which police said she intentionally hit someone with her Cadillac CTS.

PETALUMA, CA — A Santa Rosa woman wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon — her car — turned herself in to the Petaluma Police Department.

Sheila Burrows, 53, was arrested Sunday and booked into Sonoma County Jail when she surrendered in connection with a domestic incident in which she is accused of intentionally hitting someone with her Cadillac CTS, according to Petaluma police Sgt. Walt Spiller.

Police initially responded to the incident at 8 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Quality Inn, 5100 Montero Way.

"Burrows struck the victim and fled the area," Spiller said.

Police put out a news release after the incident, stating that Burrows was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.

Jail records were not available Monday night for Burrows, indicating she may have been released on bail.
